Employees of medical device manufacturers

You are invited by your company’s CONUS administrator and then activate your account via the link in the invitation email.

How does medical verification work?

CONUS is intended for medical professionals. During registration, you confirm your membership in a medical professional group and verify your email address via the activation link. In your profile, you additionally state your profession.

CONUS reserves the right to review the information provided and to reject registrations or block accounts if the requirements are not met. The details are governed by our terms of use.

How is my account linked to my hospital?

The CONUS administrator of your hospital handles the assignment: They invite you via your work email address, and your account is linked to the hospital. You then have access to hospital-specific content such as the implant portfolio, internal hospital standards, and team information.

Without a hospital assignment, you can use CONUS with a limited feature set, for example CONUS Intelligence. If your hospital is not yet on CONUS, an authorized person can request a hospital license via our website.

How can I delete my account?

In the CONUS app, you can delete your account yourself at any time: Settings → Account → Delete account. You then receive a confirmation by email.

Alternatively, our support team at info@conus-med.com is happy to help. Information about your rights, such as access to and deletion of your data, can be found in our privacy information.

Pricing & licenses

What does CONUS cost?

Registration and use of the CONUS app are free for medical professionals and students.

Internal hospital standards and hospital-specific implants are available in combination with a hospital license. There is no cost to the employees of a licensed institution. Separate license models apply to institutions such as hospitals, manufacturers, and universities; the details are governed by the respective license agreement.

Note: This description is for general information only and may be outdated. The actual fee and license structure is governed exclusively by the respective license agreement as well as our terms of use for users and terms of use for institutions; these alone are authoritative and take precedence over this description.

What does the hospital license include and how do we get it?

With the hospital license, you enable your employees to use the institution-specific content, in particular your product portfolio as well as internal standards and procedural instructions. It includes, among other things, a central admin overview, customizable user permissions, use on multiple devices, and live support for admins and employees.

Requests are made via the hospital license form on our website. After submission, we will get back to you to activate your institutional access. The details are governed by our terms of use for institutions.

How does the manufacturer license work?

With a manufacturer license, you place your product information, contact persons, and events and training directly with clinical users. In addition, you get a white-label app for your sales force.

Pricing is based on your product groups. Via the manufacturer form on our website, you arrange a non-binding first online meeting in which we discuss the platform, suitable solutions, and next steps.

How do universities and students get access?

Students can register for free at any time and use CONUS including CONUS Intelligence.

With a campus license, students and faculty at a university get campus-wide access to CONUS Intelligence and curated medical content. In addition, the faculty’s own teaching materials can be integrated. Universities submit their request via the campus license form on our website; our team will then get in touch to discuss the details.

CONUS Intelligence & sources

What is CONUS Intelligence?

CONUS Intelligence is our AI assistant for medicine: It answers medical questions in an evidence-based way and backs every answer with the underlying sources. The answers are based on a curated knowledge base of over 300,000 academic papers, verified manufacturer documents, and official guidelines. In the hospital context, internal hospital standards and documents are added.

CONUS Intelligence serves information and educational purposes. It does not replace medical judgment in individual cases and is not intended for patient-specific recommendations.

Where do the sources come from and how can I check them?

CONUS uses exclusively curated sources: academic literature, official guidelines, verified manufacturer documents, and, depending on your access, internal hospital documents. Unverified websites, forums, or blogs are not included in the answers.

Every statement is accompanied by a source reference. Clicking the reference opens the original document directly on the cited page, so you can verify every answer yourself.

CONUS App

Product Phase-Out Date

  1. Phase-out date known (in the future)

As soon as we receive a binding phase-out date from the manufacturer, we show it directly on the OR system or implant. Until that date, medical staff can find and compare the product in CONUS as usual and assign it to the hospital-specific portfolio.

  2. Phase-out date is in the past (remaining stock available)

If the date has already passed but remaining stock is still available, the OR system including all associated implants remains visible in the CONUS app for another 12 months.

  3. More than 12 months after the phase-out date

One year after the date has passed, the OR system disappears from the regular CONUS view. You can then find it together with all associated products in the CONUS archive for documentation and traceability.

Product Availability

  • Products that are stocked by default are usually already in the hospital and are immediately available for surgery without additional waiting time or ordering.
  • Products that can be ordered by default can be reordered by the hospital at any time. They are part of the valid assortment, but not necessarily directly available.

Privacy & patient data

Does CONUS process patient data?

No. CONUS is designed so that no patient data is required or processed. The platform provides product- and process-related medical knowledge and is not intended for individual patient care or the entry of patient data.

How does CONUS handle my data?

We process personal data in accordance with the GDPR. Hosting is provided by a German provider on servers in Germany, with whom a data processing agreement is in place.

You have the right to access, rectify, and delete your data at any time. All details and contact options can be found in our privacy information.

Support & technical questions

What should I do if I run into technical problems?

If you run into technical problems, our support team is happy to help: via the contact form on the support page or by email to info@conus-med.com. Please describe as precisely as possible what happened and which device you are using.

Admins and employees of licensed institutions additionally receive live support. The CONUS app is available on the App Store and Google Play and is automatically supplied with feature and security updates.
